The Sheet Metal and Air Conditioning Contractors’ Association (SMACNA) of Boston is a regional trade association that represents union sheet metal and air conditioning contractors. Our Association focuses on the Northeast region of Vermont, New Hampshire, Maine, Rhode Island, and Massachusetts.
Dedicated to supporting and advancing the sheet metal and air conditioning industry in Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Maine, Rhode Island, and Vermont.
As part of SMACNA’s national organization, we stay informed about crucial regulatory, legislative, technical, and legal matters affecting our industry. Through our Government Relations Committee, we engage with our Congressional Delegation in Washington, DC to advocate for our industry’s interests.
We foster strong relationships with Sheet Metal Workers’ Local 17 (Eastern MA, ME, NH, and RI) and Sheet Metal Workers’ Local 63 (Western MA and VT) to promote cooperation between labor and management. Our collaborative efforts have led to successful collective bargaining agreements and policies.
As an affiliate of BTEA Northeast, SMACNA Boston Chapter Members have access to exclusive trainings and events throughout the year.

SMACNA National TrainingsOn July 25, SMACNA Boston hosted its annual golf outing to benefit the Thomas S. Gunning Scholarship Fund. A sold out tournament, members enjoyed networking and fun while supporting continued education.
As a perpetual sponsor, SMACNA Boston has helped the TSG Scholarship Fund award more than $2,000,000 in scholarships to members’ families.
