Overview

Please join us as we kickoff the 5th Annual BTEA Building Trades Recovery Week.  This event is offered complimentary to all BTEA Contractor Members and is open to the public.  We encourage you to bring co-workers, family members and friends to help us break the stigma associated with SUD and Mental Health Challenges, as well as to hear from special guest speakers.

In addition, all attendees will have the opportunity to win raffle prizes, including Celtics and Bruins tickets, wellness gift cards, among many other great items.

Martin J. Walsh

NHLPA Executive Director

Formerly the U.S. Secretary of Labor and the esteemed Mayor of Boston. Walsh’s time in government was preceded by a long history as a union member and labor leader. Joining Laborers Local 223, he rose to the presidency of that union before being appointed as the head of Boston’s Building and Construction Trades Council, representing tens of thousands of working families.

Theo Fleury

Olympic Gold Medalist and Stanley Cup Winner

Theo Fleury may be best known as a small but fearless hockey player, who won a Stanley Cup, an Olympic gold medal, and scored over 1,000 points in the NHL. But off the rink, his life once carried the markings of a troubled childhood, abuse and coping with emotional pain through addictive and self-destructive behaviors.

Today, Theo defines himself as a victor over trauma and addiction, and a facilitator to those still trying to find their way.
