Overview

The toughest promotion in the world is the one from crew member to crew leader. There are a number of reasons for this and there are solutions to all of them. This deep dive into supervision will look at those reasons and solutions, and set you on a path to success in leadership. The toughest promotion will never be easy but can be easier with the tools learned from this session. In this session, participants will review the critical differences between styles of leadership, identifying what styles are required for what personalities, what your personal leadership style is, and how to develop strategies for becoming the leader you’d like to be.

Wally Adamchik is the founder and president of Firestarter Speaking and Consulting, a national consulting company providing contractors with relevant and effective leadership development. His connection to the construction industry began as a teenager working on jobs with his brother and father. Wally went on to study at Notre Dame and later served in the Marine Corps participating in training, peacekeeping, and combat operations throughout the world.
