Overview

Across every function in an organization, problem solving is central to working through difficult challenges, overcoming obstacles, developing news strategies, and driving business. During this one-day course, attendees will explore tools and techniques for enhancing individual and group problem solving skills, using both creative and critical thinking. Throughout the module attendees will complete a series of exercises and discussions surrounding real-world challenges in the construction industry to better understand and solve complex problems.

Margaret Andrews is on a mission to improve the craft of leadership – one ambitious, talented individual at a time. Her course, Managing Yourself and Leading Others, is among the most popular classes and executive programs at Harvard and the foundation for much of her speaking. With over 20 years of business and academic leadership, she understands the ins and outs of leading diverse teams in challenging situations. She currently teaches courses and executive programs at Harvard University and leads The MYLO Center, a leadership development firm based on the Managing Yourself and Leading Others class at Harvard, and Higher Ed Associates, a firm devoted to improving leadership capabilities at colleges and universities.
